自述：
从一开始学英语，我就是超级英语迷。英文课本和字典都翻得很破烂。骑自行车去上学的时候，口中也念念有词，不停地练口语。晚上则听着英语广播入睡。
读中学的时候最崇拜钱钟书、林语堂、梁实秋和张爱玲等作家，希望自己有一天能像他们一样学贯中西。
报考大学时选择了广东外语外贸大学（广外）的翻译系。广东外语外贸大学的校训是“明德尚行，学贯中西”，这个校训和我的初衷正好相符。在广外，我接受的是“中西合壁”的教育。英语口语、写作、英国文学、美国文学、美国社会、高级英语等课程都是有来自英语国家的外教来教授。
在北京外交学院进修时，学院除了设口译课外还专门安排了外教的专题讨论课。
广外和外交学院的培养让我在英文方面打下了坚实的基础。虽然未出过国门，却受过的良好的西方教育。
毕业后从事的都是涉外性质的工作，负责公司文书翻译还有公司会议、培训课程、推广活动和涉外活动的口译工作。
此外，我还在一个英文培训中心做了两年的全职老师。
教学中心的一半同事都是来自英语国家的外教。在这两年里，和外国同事在公司会议上的交流，课间和茶余饭后的闲聊都对我提高英文水平有很大的帮助。耳濡目染的的语言环境助我练就了一口流利的英文，对西方文化和西方人的思维也有进一步的理解。
现在，我作为自由职业翻译在各种会议上扮演者沟通桥梁的角色。我觉得翻译是一个很有挑战性的职业。每次接不同的会议都需要在很短的时间内学习新行业的知识。
在许多人眼中，翻译出入豪华酒店和高级会议场所很风光，但是背后的甜酸苦辣只有自己最清楚。可以说做翻译和当老师都是苦差。我也是凭着对英语和翻译的热爱才坚持下来。
人生一世，草木一春。做自己喜欢的事，去自己想去的地方。
这个网站是我自己一砖一瓦地建起来的，希望访问我的网站的网友在这里能感受到语言的美好。

I really did not
