中国人说爱到海枯石烂，英文的流行歌和诗词其实也有类似的概念。
Richard Marx唱的"Now And Forever"有这么一段歌词：
“Until the day the ocean doesn't touch the sand
Now and forever
I will be your man
Now and forever
I will be your man”
当大海触摸不到岸边的沙石的时候不就是海枯的时候么？“我永远都是你的男人，直至海枯石烂！”
All-4-One的"I Swear"有这么一段：
"I'll love you with every beat of my heart
Till death do us part."
这是爱到永远的誓言。
下面是W.H.Auden的"As I Walked Out One Evening"两段：
