Watching sunrise is a must-do for almost every visitor to Angkor. My tuktuk driver picked me up at my guesthouse at 4:30 a.m. Cambodia is one hour after China, so it was actually 5:30 a.m. for me.

It was well worth the effort and wait. I was deeply touched as I watched the sky gradually changing colors.

What frustrates me is that my camera cannot duplicate the beauty of Angkor bathed in sunrise. But I am content to be able to say "been there, seen that" when people talk about Angkor.
